The Green Guardian Programme is transforming the way young Malaysians learn about sustainability by turning environmental education into an immersive, interactive and inspiring experience. Through innovative technologies, experiential learning environments and nationwide outreach initiatives, the programme empowers students to understand real-world environmental challenges and become active contributors to a greener future.
Since its inception, Green Guardian has engaged more than 27,000 students and welcomed over 97,000 visitors through its experiential learning centre, school engagement programmes, interactive exhibitions and environmental awareness campaigns. By making sustainability education accessible, engaging and relevant, the programme is helping to cultivate environmentally responsible behaviours among future generations.
As a flagship initiative of Yayasan Hijau Malaysia, Green Guardian serves as a catalyst for environmental literacy, supporting Malaysia's sustainability agenda while bringing together government agencies, educational institutions, corporate partners and communities in a shared commitment towards environmental stewardship.
With a target of reaching more than 25,000 additional students by 2027, Green Guardian continues to inspire meaningful action, nurture future sustainability leaders, and create lasting environmental, social and economic impact across Malaysia.
