The LESTARI Carnival is Yayasan Hijau Malaysia's flagship public engagement platform that transforms sustainability into an immersive and inspiring experience for communities of all ages. Designed to make environmental education accessible, interactive and enjoyable, the carnival brings together government agencies, universities, NGOs, industry players, innovators and local communities in a vibrant celebration of sustainable living.
Through engaging exhibitions, hands-on workshops, interactive demonstrations and experiential learning activities, visitors are introduced to practical solutions that address some of today's most pressing environmental challenges. From biodiversity conservation and waste management to climate action, renewable energy and sustainable lifestyles, the carnival showcases how small actions can create meaningful change for people and the planet.
More than just an event, the LESTARI Carnival serves as a catalyst for awareness, collaboration and behavioural transformation. With an expected reach of more than 10,000 visitors per carnival and participation from universities, youth organisations, government agencies and sustainability advocates nationwide, the LESTARI Carnival continues to grow as a dynamic platform for fostering environmental literacy, strengthening community engagement and empowering Malaysians to embrace a more sustainable future.
