Yayasan Hijau Malaysia (YHM) plays a pivotal role in advancing Malaysia’s Greening Malaysia agenda by serving as a key enabler of corporate participation in the National 100 Million Tree Planting Campaign (2021–2025). Through strategic partnerships with the private sector, YHM transforms sustainability commitments into tangible environmental action by mobilising funding, coordinating collaborations and facilitating high-impact tree planting initiatives nationwide. This effort positions YHM as a trusted national platform that connects corporates with credible, structured and measurable ESG-driven environmental programmes, delivering lasting environmental, social and economic value.
Within this campaign, YHM has facilitated 38 corporate collaborations, mobilised over RM10.45 million in sponsorships and supported the planting of 373,887 trees across Malaysia, contributing directly to the nation’s reforestation efforts. These achievements reflect YHM’s strong commitment to delivering real, measurable impact for climate action and biodiversity restoration, while providing corporates with a transparent and credible pathway to fulfil their ESG and sustainability goals.
National 100 Million Tree Planting Campaign, a flagship programme led by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES) in collaboration with key government agencies. Through this nationwide effort, more than 137 million trees have been planted across forest reserves, mangrove ecosystems and urban landscapes, supported by digital tracking systems that ensure transparency, accountability and reliable impact reporting.
